What are Adverbs

  • Adverbs are used to qualify or to add quality.
  • Adverbs are mobile which means they can be placed anywhere in the sentence as far as there is only one adverb.
If there are more than 1 adverbs in the sentence then the sequence will be like this:
Manner > place > Time

Example: Ali kicked the ball forcefully on the net.

Adverbial Phrase

When more than two words combine to work as an adverb is called an adverbial phrase.
He kicked the ball with great force.
Great force is the adverbial phrase.
